    Protection

Ceramic coatings provide protection against chemical stains, etching, and UV damage. By forming a resilient shield, ceramic coatings effectively shield your vehicle from the harmful effects of chemical stains and UV damage, ensuring its exterior remains pristine. With this added layer of defense, your vehicle's paintwork maintains its original beauty and gloss, standing up to the rigors of daily driving and environmental exposure with ease.

    Enhanced Finish

Ceramic coating adds clarity and gloss to your paint for years to come. Furthermore, its advanced formula acts as a barrier against environmental pollutants, ensuring your paint stays vibrant and lustrous, even in the face of daily wear and tear. With ceramic coating, your vehicle's paintwork not only maintains its showroom shine but also retains its value for the long term.

    hydrophobicity

You want your car to look its best. Ceramic coating keeps your car looking clean thanks to its hydrophobic properties that repel water and prevent a build-up of dirt on your paint’s finish. The coating creates a glass finish that makes removing dirt and debris easy. The grime slides right off during the cleaning process, making washing much easier.

Ceramic Coating FAQs

  • Ceramic coatings offer unparalleled defense against UV and chemical harm. The safeguarding agent, SiO2 (Silicon Dioxide) or SiC (Silicon Carbide), forms bonds crucial for protection. A solvent carrier facilitates the application of SiO2 or SiC onto various surfaces, evaporating to leave behind the coating and protecting your vehicles paint.

    1. Ceramic coatings adhere to surfaces for several years, whereas waxes and sealants typically endure only a few months.

    2. Ceramic coatings exhibit resilience against UV rays and environmental pollutants, safeguarding the paint's integrity against deterioration caused by exposure.

    3. Ceramic coatings create a highly repellent surface, repulsing dirt and contaminants instead of absorbing them. This prolongs surface cleanliness and simplifies routine maintenance.

  • Different ceramic coatings offer different lifespans and warranties. The lifespan of any ceramic coating depends on how you maintain the vehicle and what type of environment it sees. Our installed Gyeon ceramic coatings are warrantied to last 3 years with little to no maintenance or 10 years with professional maintenance.

  • The ceramic coating industry often features misleading marketing. While ceramic coatings provide a marginally harder surface than paint alone, they are not thick or robust enough to endure scratches from items like a dirty wash mitt, keys, or rock chips. If you are looking for protection against scratches and rock chips, see our Paint Protection Film page. Although many coatings boast about their 9H hardness, it's not the primary attribute to prioritize.

The real value of ceramic coatings lies in their ability to shield your vehicle from UV damage and environmental pollutants, preserving its appearance for years to come. Where these coatings truly excel in scratch resistance is in creating a slick, repellent surface. This slickness effectively repels loose dirt, brake dust, and other debris, preventing them from settling onto your vehicle's paint and potentially causing scratches and swirls during cleaning.

  • While both coatings will add protection and enhance your vehicles paint, there are significant differences between them. SiC coatings have a much stronger bond to your vehicles paint, and are much harder. Because of this, SiC coatings have greater scratch and abrasion resistance compared to SiO2 coatings. SiC coatings do not require the biannual maintenance of SiO2 coatings.

SiO2 coatings tend to have a brighter gloss and better slickness compared to an SiC coating.
